Gossip Girl for good girls indeed

Comments

wow - i've never seen the show but that does seem ridiculous for a network show aimed at teens. :(
Great article! So lovin' Stephenie Meyer!
It seems more and more shows are pushing the envelope. Sometimes I wonder if the writers have children or grand children, don't the writers care about what is on the tube.
I have never watched GG, but I saw that ad a couple weeks ago online and just thought, wow...that's trashy.

Sometimes I am glad I don't have a TV anymore.

I heard a commercial on the radio the other day driving to work and heard the "OMFG" thing. I couldn't believe it - it just made me feel yucky inside. What an affront to God himself.

I've heard you talking about Twilight and have wanted to read the books, but after reading that article I want to read them even more. It's also nice to know that Stephanie Meyers' books sound like some I can allow Bailey to read in few years when she's a little older.

You should definitely read it. (I tell that to everyone, but really, you should.) Kevin's about to start it, and he's 11. There's really nothing in there that is objectionable. The only things that might ultimately make the movie PG-13 are the fight scenes, but they're not gory or graphic.
This type of thing seems to happen all the time, only not to this extreme. The networks are like the pied piper, they get you hooked on a show and then proceed to lead you down into the sewer.
I'd seen a headline about the CW getting some flack for a racy ad, but I actually hadn't seen it. Klassy. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised.

I, too, was surprised and impressed with Benedict's forthrightness on issues of faith, morality and society -- and with the way he addressed the sex-abuse problems in the American Church.
That's just the print ad. You should see the commercials. I had to change the channel because Kevin and Mia were in the room.
Picked up this book last night, and so far have read one chapter and I am hooked!!
Awesome! Can't wait to see what you think.
